I have had an obsession with Award Shows since I was a kid. I think it all started with the 1988 Grammy Awards. I remember sitting around the TV with my family watching Billy Christal host as Michael Jackson performed an ensemble of favorites. We recorded it and I watched it over and over with the volume up as loud as the TV would allow, trying to memorize the dances and sing along. That night started it all. I am officailly addicted to ALL award shows.
I watch them to see who wins, but live for the live performances. I love the pairing up of random artists to perform amazing songs. Last night the American Music Awards were on. Pink and Sarah Mclaughlin sang "Angel" Its moments like this that suck me in. Alicia Keyes, Queen Latifah and some Opera singer also performed together. Where else would you ever find such a talented and eclectic group? I wish I would have recorded it! Thankfully we have youtube.

Yes I remember... Your basement wathching and rewinding and rewinding so we could get the steps down perfect! I loved the "Angel" Duet too!! love you!
