This morning

I woke up at 5:45. I know, you might think the end is near but actually it is just summer. I am happy to get up when the sun is up as long as it is warm outside. In a few months Ill be dreaming of days like today where I can walk around outside in my bathing suit at 6 in the morning. Til then Ill just enjoy it. I recently signed up for a masters swim team (I am indeed not a master) at the new-ish rec center. I enjoy it, but nothing compares to an early morning swim in the old outdoor lap pool.
What happened?
Why did they get rid of you?
Watching the sun come up, feeling heat on your back as you stroke through the water.
Ahhh, that's living.
Maybe someday Ill just live here....
