My Water Didn't Break

(after reading comments to this post I realized that this all sounds very traumatic...the experience was scarry, but all is good so read on and just laugh about it)
But I thought it did...
Wednesday night I went to a yoga class at the gym. As the class ended I rolled up my mat and started walking out and noticed that a lot of people were looking at me. Well, I feel like when you are pregnant a lot of people look at you anyway so I just kept walking on. Then one of the workers looked at me with a big smile and I smiled back but then examined myself to make sure I looked normal and as I browsed down to my legs it looked as if I had full on peed my pants. I quickly put my yoga bag in front of my crotch and kept walking but then stopped in mid stride to contemplate what was happening to me. I quickly felt my armpits to see if they were sweaty, maybe it was just sweat, but I wasnt sweaty anywhere else on my body. I moved my yoga bag and checked myself one more time and then looked up at a girl walking towards me and said, "did my water just break" She looked at me for a second and said, "YES! Do you need a ride to the hospital?" I said no and began to cry as I walked to my car. I started driving home and called Danny to tell him what happened. I really did not want to go to the ER unless it was totally necessary. I mean, I've broken my water before and it was unmistakable, it was like a full on gallon of nasty crap flowing for like a half hour. So I went home and went over to my neighbors who is a nurse in the PICU. She called labor and delivery for me at Davis Hospital and they said that I could just have a small leak but to wait and see if I felt more fluid coming out. As the nurse said those words I felt another surge of fluid make its way out. (sorry I know this is kind of gross) So we decided to make our way to labor and delivery.
WHAT? This cannot be happening.
Let me just say that those few hours sitting in the birthing bed with those monitors on sent me into PTSD. Danny too, he went down to the ER to register me and when he came back to my room he saw an empty bed covered in blood, as he ran to find a nurse to find out what had happened to me he realized he was in the wrong room. POOR GUY. Then my nurse started talking about the baby and her lungs and how she would need to be in the NICU for a while, my heart was racing and I was overcome with fear. I was having flashbacks of the nurse in the NICU who told me that Eddy, who I had seen 2 times, was "getting to know the sound of her voice." Words that every mother dreams of hearing. (and by dreams, I mean has nightmares)
So I prayed a lot, as did some of you who knew what was going on and I want to say Thank You. Its amazing when things that you feel are certain can change in an instant.
THANKFULLY my water did not break, I was just leaking or sweating or something...Im still not really sure. But I am so grateful she is still inside of me and growing strong. What a RELIEF!
Also, thank you Jenny for being there in an instant to watch Eddy.
You are a great friend.

Yes, they were talking about her lungs as if she was born that day, so she is super good.

Wow, Libby. How scary. I'm glad everything is good and that your little bun is still cooking safely in your oven. When are you due, anyway?
