Lately I have been spending a lot of time at home and a lot of that time is spent with the television on. The other day an overwhelming feeling of discomfort came over me while realizing the affects that some TV personalities have on us the public.
It really frustrates me when famous people use television as a means to demonstrate their knowledge to the public eye. Especially when their knowledge is really just their opinion but portrayed as scientific fact. But at least they are "politically correct" and "environmentally conscious", right? Kill me. I am so sick of Political Correctness. Quit worrying about offending someone and just stand up for what is right.
While I'm on my soap box let me target another annoyance of mine: What's with all these people in Hollywood going green? Do they know how much they are not helping? Do they know that their million dollar mansions could power a small village? It's such a double standard that they are preaching to mainstream America.
I swear if I watch The View again Ill kill myself.

I feel the same way! I have never seen the view until I came to Texas and had too much time on my hands. Can I tell you how many times I wanted to break my foot off in Whoopie Goldburgs A$$? They are such homos! I have to stop watching after 5 minutes or I get all angry!
Praise to Libby and your intelligent ways!!! I HaTe Hollywood---their morals, their standards (lack thereof), their preaching, their politics......I wish I was strong enough to boycott them COMPLETELY. But, I still turn that darn TV on. There is no doubt in my mind that their evil is talked of in the scriptures, they make bad look good and good look bad.
(I'm going do something crazy if Oprah asks us to each use one less square of toilet paper one more time.)

Well said! Celebrities are such a conundrum to say the least. I'm all about using your fame to help a cause, but blabbing on and on about stuff and throwing it in people's faces is beyond obnoxious. The ladies on the View are pretty much the worst.

I HATE THE VIEW!!! Last Monday it was on just because the TV was and I listened to like five minutes and couldn't beleive the CRAP they were talking about. I felt like calling them all up and saying, "You know cut the crap and be real, honestly." Solution: turn on some hot tunes and dance around your house instead!
Amen sista! I was reading an article about Brad and Angelina who are huge "humanitarians" that they just bought a 35 bedroom estate with a 3 mile long drive way....LAME!
