Well, the time has come for me to write down my feelings on one of the greatest trips ever. Last week me, Carly, Melinda, and Candice went to NYC for a few days and let me tell you it was AMAZ-A-ZING! I honestly am still recovering, I have felt hung over for about 5 days now...where to begin?
So we flew in Sunday night and even the flight was great. The three (Melinda, Carly and I) of us watched Sex in the City and LOVED every second of it. It pumped us up for the trip. We got in and met Candice at the hotel for check in. Sadly, Candice had to work for most of the trip.
That night found the show "13" it was super cute and performed by 13 13 year olds. It was a cute story that every teenager should see. Monday we woke up super early and went to China Town and Little Italy but not before we went to get standby tickets for Conan. Who would have guessed that we would get in?! It was so awesome and so close. They let 42 people in and we were numbers 39, 40, and 41. Candice had front row seats and I think her life long dream came true. He TOUCHED HER!!! (and growled at her, who wouldnt in that cheetah jacket?)
So, back to China Town. Holy funny, people just stand there and when you walk by they say, "Prada, Gucci, Louis Vuiton..." and just keep naming brands they hope you want. We got suckered in by a few of them. Once in their tiny stores they revealed a secret passage. We went behind the wall, down a flight of stairs into a basement full of beautiful knock offs. Who knew it was such a process? Not me.
So the rest of the trip was followed by more great shopping, great food, a great workout session, a crazy election night and to top it all off WICKED!! It was amazing, the music, the scenery, the story, it all blew me away! I would see it again and again. Anyway, let me just finish by saying that it was an awesome trip, and I am so grateful I was able to go!
Thank you Candice!!!

YEAH!! I'm so happy your trip was awesome and Wicked was/is amazing. Chinatown is a funny little place. Sorry I missed your call--I'll call today.
What a fun trip!! Did your 2 boys stay home? I have only been to NYC once, but I loved it and I really want to go there again.
That is so fun Libby. It sounds like you had a blast. Hope to make it there myself someday. How are things? Hope they are well. Say hi to the boys for us.
You are sooooo lucky! I LOVE NYC! And Wicked is the GREATEST! My mom went down one of those secret passage walls to get my Prada purse. haha!
Whatever..NY is lame. Sitting home in my dirty house, watching soap operas and folding clothes is soo much cooler. You're wierd.
You guys totally look like New Yorkers, you beauties. Looks like LOADS of fun and wealth. Good job.
