Melinda, thank you for this opportunity. This has taken me a lot of thought and effort and some of my answers were inspired by your answers.
My pet peeves are:
1. People eating cereal loudly or worse sharing cereal. It is one thing I can NEVER share with the slobber and milk and saliva going back into the bowl.
2. People who say "I could care less" this means you care about it! Usually when people say this they are trying to say that they don't care at all. You should say, "I could not care less" this means that whatever you don't care about is so unimportant to you that you could not care any less than you already do. Got it?
3. People who think that they know the best solutions for someones else's life. It bugs me the most when people clump EVERYONE's lives together and think that EVERYONE should: be a certain age to get married, or wait 8 years to have children, or have natural child birth, or go to college, or shave your legs, or work for the man. Damn the man! Save the Empire! What I am trying to say is don't tell me how to live my freaking life. Every person is different and has a different situation and there is NOT one way that works for EVERYONE. Some of us cant afford razors. Sorry, can you tell I'm sensitive about it?
4. All those country music haters out there who say they hate country... I know you are lying and just trying to be cool. Everyone has a country song that is close to their heart.
I thought of 2 more since last night.
5. When say hi to a passer by and they ignore me.
6. Hayfever

I love your pet peeves too- especially #3. Save the Empire. And it's true, no one can really be 100% country haters!!
And does this bring back any pet-peevish memories...bowl in the sink with old milk and 3 floater cheerios? cuz it does to me!

See, I am not weird! You too hate loud cereal eaters. This was on my own pet peeve list and I'm glad you share my hatred of it!
Ok I need some time with this one. I am not very good at doing these.
But I will give you a couple to tide you over.
I hate mouth breathers over the phone. I don't know why but it drives me crazy. A lot of phone mouth breathers use to call ultrasound to schedule appointments.
I also don't like false flattery. When I see people give the exact same compliments over and over to different people it bugs. Its just so disingenuous.
Libby, this is Jenny's friend, Meagan, and I love your list and I agree with every single one of the things you said. We waited almost 6 years to have our daughter and every day, up until we said we were pregnant, someone asked us why we didn't have kids and what we were waiting for. I think what I was waiting for was someone to stop asking me that question. Anyway, awesome blog!
